As I promised in my previous post, I've decided to write about how I test Linux distros. But before we get to the testing, I figured I'd update you on the laptop situation. Now to be fair, this is not a dig at the quality if Microsoft's new Windows 7 operating system. It is aimed more at the lackluster launch of the product itself. Amazing things these laptops. What's so amazing you ask? Well for one thing, after messing around with computers in one form or another since the early 80's, this is the first laptop I have ever owned.
